Welcome to Race Fit
Motor racing is a physically and mentally challenging sport.  Race driving has only a minimal resemblance to normal traffic driving.  The racing environment is unique with specific emphasis on exhaustion, heat stress, G-force loading on the body and muscular endurance issues associated with heavy control application.

Drivers can suffer from musculoskeletal injuries, which are caused by G-forces, shocks and vibrations from the car.  Drivers also suffer from heat stress caused by heat soak from the engine and exhaust, wearing fire protective race suits, including a helmet, and being subjected to the track and outside temperature.  

Current studies suggest that driver specialised training leads to measurable improvements in neuromuscular performance that give drivers a competitive edge.

Race Fit is designed to maximise your fitness and training potential.  Sport science based, Race Fit employs periodised training programs to fit your race driving goals.

Race Fit will develop your training diary with you, your workout requirements and will help you achieve the fitness levels that you are seeking.  Individual programs and training sessions will include the necessary components of fitness that you require.  They include: Cardiovascular training, Muscular Strength training, Muscular Endurance training, Flexibility training and Body composition analysis.
